This CD includes 5 pages of liner notes, downloadable in pdf format, in which I interview myself about various aspects of the Chopin Ballades. I had just gotten out of school where the old battle between absolute music vs. program music was still waging strong, with the intellectuals peering down over their reading glasses in contempt at those of us who are wired to put stories to everything. In these humorous yet informative notes I had the rare opportunity to argue both sides.
