I composed this song to remind all of us of our need to realign with Truth, and to stop the spreading of hate. I hope people will be able to see bullying for what it really is: a sign of deep-rooted insecurity and self hatred. In order to stop this vicious cycle, we have to first resolve these inner issues in our own hearts. This painting by Leonardo da Vinci focuses on the faces of the haters, because seeing it makes us realize how we affect all those around us and how we shape our lives. It has never been easier to "look in the mirror", simply scroll on one's past posts in social media: are we generating hope and love, or are we spreading more indiscriminate hate? There are memes now made just for making people angry, because anger makes people indiscriminate and vulnerable to those with hidden agendas. The trial of Jesus has all the elements of what is happening in our society today, the angry mob, the officials who obfuscate the truth to manipulate the mob, and the judge who is afraid to stand up for the truth. May we quell the hate and make room for love in our hearts.
